Haha...Crazy damage. Very awesome that your wheels survived. I did the same thing with my 04' Stab, actually used the bike to avoid injuring myself...and the stem just took a huge chunk out of the tree instead! Couldn't believe it.
Ok so a few years later on my PB noteboard and I have built up a whole other bike! YAYA! Hopefully going to finish decking it (vpfree) out for this season...she'll be my Highland beast! New dual chainring up front, new derailleurs, & a hydraulic seat post! Now which one to buy..... 
Good on ya for protecting your rear shock! Siiiick frame, I SO want one of these. Think it would be too big for me? I'm 5'10"...average length arms, 28-30" handle bars are comfy... 
Sick...sick...frame & shock setup... What's the ti & steel coil specs? I'm heavy...230lbs... 
I've enjoyed this frame's 8" - 9" of rear travel it offers, and any increment between too, no notches...handy adjustment, been diggin it on my own stab primo for years. 
Oh yes...the ladder will be mine. She will be mine... This season... 
The DH would be nice...true...$$$$ If you can't ride this bike on DH terrain, there's something wrong somewhere! I love my 7" DH fork... 
I won't argue with ya...I did get one, it's saved my face many a time. :D
